Marlon Wayans and Skye P. Marshall announced the full list of nominees for the 83rd Annual Golden Globes on December 8 – with 11 exclusive categories revealed only on “CBS Mornings.”
The announcers named the nominees across all 28 categories, including a brand new slot for Best Podcast. The Golden Globes says it’s the first major award show to honor podcasting. Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, Call Her Daddy, Good Hang with Amy Poehler, The Mel Robbins Podcast, SmartLess and Up First from NPR were nominated for the new category.

The 2026 Golden Globes will air on Sunday, Jan. 11 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and will be available to stream on Paramount+.

You can also watch the Globes’ primetime special, “Golden Eve: The Golden Globes Honor Helen Mirren & Sarah Jessica Parker,” on Thursday, Jan. 8, at 8 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+. It will honor Mirren, the recipient of the Cecil B. DeMille Award, and Parker for the Carol Burnett Award.
“This is a chance to properly honor those who have so profoundly shaped our culture, with more than a two-minute awards moment. This event and special will occur during ‘Golden Week,’ a premier cross-platform initiative with CBS that transforms the Globes into a multi-day cultural event, making it a cornerstone of the awards season,” Jay Penske, CEO of Dick Clark Productions, said in a statement.
Who’s hosting the 2026 Golden Globes?

The 2026 Golden Globes will be hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser. It will be Glaser’s second consecutive year as host after making history as the first solo female host of the awards show.
Glaser has been preparing for the big night, telling “CBS Mornings” co-anchor Gayle King that you have to walk a delicate line between making people laugh and not offending anyone.
“People at home want you to make fun of the A-listers. They want you to make them feel a little uncomfortable. It’s covert in the sense that I want to get away with those jokes without just ruining the vibe in the room. It’s really strategic, and it’s one of the most difficult jobs I’ve ever had…is picking the perfect jokes,” she said in a Jan. 6 interview.
For the award show, being “mean” is not Glaser’s intention. She said she saves that for roasts. When asked if she’s run any of her jokes by celebrities in advance, Glaser said not yet, but joked that she’d like Sean Penn’s number.
Who are the 2026 Golden Globes nominees?
“One Battle After Another,” directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn and Teyana Taylor, topped the list with nine nominations. Meanwhile,”White Lotus” earned six, the most of any television series.
