The Traitors star Judy Wilson has revealed her fellow contestants think there’s another connection being kept a secret.
Judy entered the castle with her daughter, Roxy, but of course, as per tradition on The Traitors, they kept that huge detail to themselves.
The child liaison officer from Doncaster was immediately on everyone’s radar, though, and despite being 100% faithful through and through, she was the first to be banished while her daughter not-so subtly pleaded with everyone else to give her mum a chance at the roundtable.
It failed, and Judy joins the rest of us with the luxury of watching her adopted daughter continue to battle it out for her share of a potential £120,000 and trawl through social media picking up on various theories, including the potential for more secret connections.
Traitors fans are convinced there’s a secret couple among the cast this year, but Judy tells Metro the contestants think there’s the show’s first father-and-son duo keeping their relationship schtum.
‘I think there could be more secret connections. There was a lot of speculation when I was in there about Faraaz and Maz – are they son and dad? We kept thinking that.’
Do you think The Traitors stars Maz and Faraaz are father and son?

Judy agrees there could also be another couple, though. Eagle-eyed fans have discovered that Ellie and Ross knew each other before filming, they’ve been spotted on suspiciously similar holidays at the same time and are in a picture together with colleagues in 2024.
But Judy didn’t pick up on the signs in there at all. ‘Ellie is quite quiet and if you saw the bit when we’re in the kitchen, that’s the first time I actually spoke to her, but she’s quite quiet, whereas Ross is very out there and quite bubbly, so I didn’t connect that at all.’
Arguably, keeping a big secret is a hindrance in The Traitors. Carrying the burden and attempting not to give anything away can only lead to suspicion.
Judy says she found it easier than her daughter, who slipped up on the very first day, in a blunder that didn’t go unnoticed by viewers.
‘I just switched off completely, whereas Roxy couldn’t,’ she says. ‘I don’t know if you noticed in that little boat challenge, people have shown me that she shouted, “Mum, mum!”
‘I knew in the boat, but nobody else did. I wanted to pick her up on it, but I tried to stay away from her as much as I could.’
One player didn’t realise they’d be carrying a secret throughout the game – one that we know will be revealed in the next episode, when the mystery traitor will remove the hood of their red cloak to reveal their identity to remaining traitors Steven and Rachel.
Naturally, Judy’s grilled Roxy, who has firmly denied being the secret traitor, but she claims private detective Amanda would be the most dangerous player to join Steven and Rachel in the turret.
‘They won’t want Amanda, because she’ll be good at it, that I think she would be brilliant, because she’s a clever girl.’
If she had to make one guess, though? ‘Personally, I think it’s Jade. It would be great if it’s Roxy, but other than that, I’d like it to be Jade.’
For now, Judy can enjoy the glory and fame of being a true star of The Traitors, and one who went far too soon.
She enthuses: ‘You think to yourself, why did they pick me? Because I am just me, I don’t change- what you see is what you get. But obviously, there was something in me.
‘I’m absolutely loving every bit of it. I can’t wait for next week to see who the red cloak is. It’s just an amazing game, and to have been a part of that… I just have to keep pinching myself.
The Traitors returns Wednesday at 8pm on BBC One.
