Celebs, they’re just like us: ringing in the New Year and sharing all the fun on their social media pages.
In recent days, Instagram has been littered with round-ups of the year in reels and endless carousels.
Now the highs and lows of the year just gone have been marked, it’s time to celebrate the turning of the page. Cue the Instagram Stories of firework displays.
While most of us will have seen the pyrotechnics in these perilously cold Isles, passing the night at a boozy party or down the local pub, sometimes the celebs actually aren’t like us, it turns out.
A lucky few instead got the chance to sing along to Auld Lang Syne having jetted off to warmer climes.
Among them are Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury, who took their little tot Bambi off to the Maldives to celebrate the start of 2026, as well as Rochelle and Marvin Humes.
Here’s how your favourite celebrities rang in 2026.
Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury
Molly-Mae Hague arrived in ‘paradise’ this week – also known as the Maldives – with boyfriend Tommy Fury and two-year-old Bambi.
They shared snaps almost immediately after the clock struck midnight local time, with pictures and videos of their night at an all-you-can-eat buffet with other guests visiting the sun-soaked holiday destination.
Molly-Mae shared a series of pictures of the fam, captioning the post: ‘This year gave me what I needed most. Feeling more grateful than ever heading into 2026.’
Rochelle and Marvin Humes
Rochelle and Marvin Humes also spent the New Year in the Maldives, but this time at a foam party with their children.
The couple enjoyed cocktails by the pool on a sunny day, posing for selfies at the busy party. Then later in the night, the family shared a snap all dressed up on the beach.
Over on Rochelle’s Instagram Stories, she posted a clip of the nigh-on-obligatory fireworks display over the sea.
Amanda Holden
Amanda Holden never seems not to be having fun, and it was no different on New Year’s Eve, where she appeared to be hosting a soiree of sorts.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge posted a snap with bestie Alan Carr, donning a plunging navy blue gown as they chinked champagne flutes.
In other pictures Amanda, 54, posed with her husband Chris Hughes and their daughters Lexi, 19, and Hollie, 13.
Kate and Rio Ferdinand
Kate and Rio Ferdinand spent their New Year’s in Dubai, after leaving Britain for the warmer weather earlier this year.
Kate shared a snap of their NYE set-up to her Instagram Story, sparing no expense with the decorations.
In the picture, their pool had been covered in candles, with a floating ‘New Year’s Eve with the Ferdys’ sign inside the water.
She wrote: ‘Sorry I’ve been quiet on here over the busy Christmas period. But this evening we are celebrating NYE with our closest family and friends in Dubai.
‘Wishing you all a Happy New Year and hope you have a lovely evening.’
