The Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle is starting to disappear from shop shelves, so here’s where you can pick it up before it disappears.

The Nintendo Switch 2 has become the fastest selling console ever, and that’s largely down to the value proposition of the Mario Kart World bundle.

At its original price of £429.99 you’re saving £40 on Mario Kart World if you pick up the bundle. At most online retailers now however, the bundle is going for £409, saving you £60 in total, compared to buying the console and game separately.

However, Nintendo made it clear before launch that the bundle will have a ‘limited time production through autumn 2025’, and is only available ‘while supplies last’. In other words, it almost seems overdue for them to run out of stock, which is exactly what one US retailer has implied is happening.

As shared by Nintendo deals account Nintendeal on X, an internal memo, allegedly from GameStop, states the Mario Kart World bundle has ‘now reached end of lifecycle’.

‘This bundle SKU has now reached end of lifecycle, and additional units will no longer be produced,’ the memo reads, adding, ‘Future replenishment of Nintendo Switch 2 will be the base console.’

If legitimate, this suggests other retailers around the world have likely received the same message from Nintendo. However, Amazon, Currys, Argos, My Nintendo Store, and others all still have stock at the time of writing, but it’s possible they’re on their final batches.

GameCentral has reached out to Argos and Currys for comment.

Even when stock does eventually expire, there’s a strong chance the Mario Kart World bundle could return temporarily for the next Christmas season (like the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe bundle for the original Switch) – but as ever with Nintendo, nothing is a given.

Along with Mario Kart World, Nintendo released a Pokémon Legends: Z-A bundle to coincide with that game’s release in October. Outside of reseller sites though, stock for that bundle appears to have already dried up.

Nintendo Switch 2 sales have surpassed 10 million units worldwide, but early signs suggest it hasn’t had the best Christmas season, with Sony’s PlayStation 5 surpassing it in the US in November.

That seems to have been a result of the significant price cuts for the PlayStation 5 during Black Friday, with the new Nex Playground device also benefitting from an increasingly price conscious market.
