Traitors fans’ ‘genius’ theory claims BBC is accidentally spoiling murders and banishments

The Traitors fans have uncovered a new theory to discover who will be banished or murdered next on the main show.

And we have to say, it’s actually pretty convincing – so you’ve been warned!

The Traitors viewers are convinced that it’s actually the fault of The Traitors Uncloaked, which is accidentally broadcasting spoilers for the main show.

Although the companion show airs directly after the main show, fans have realised it has already heavily hinted at – if not completely revealed – major plot twists for the BBC programme.

In fact, explaining their theory in detail, one fan took to social media to explain how they had accurately been able to predict both murders and banishments due to the guests booked on Traitors Uncloaked.

TV fan account @supertv247 wrote on X: ‘So I worked out a theory last night, and I didn’t tweet it because I didn’t want to spoil tonight’s show but, alas, it came true. Regarding #Uncloaked, their guests keep spoiling the show.’

Their theory claimed that on Traitors Uncloaked there are ‘themed guests’ based on what’s happened on the main show episode and that ‘the pattern is too obvious’, giving away results of murders and banishments – and even the manner in which they were done.

The Traitors fan gave an example with the episode this week where Amanda was banished ‘by chance’, pointing out that actor Mark Bonnar had appeared as a guest on Uncloaked afterwards – after he left Celebrity Traitors in the same way following an indecisive roundtable.

The other guest was Fozia Fazil, murdered face to face in series three, just like Maz was by Traitors Fiona, Rachel and Stephen.

As for more recent exits, they then revealed they were actually able to predict Fiona’s banishment correctly after spotting that guests were two former Welsh players and a ‘Welsh’ Traitor.

‘They had that secret couple on last week, when the other secret relationship was revealed, too. It’s crazy to me that such a well sealed show is putting results up there in plain sight?!’ they added.

Season one Traitors stars Alex Gray and Tom Elderfield were guests on Uncloaked after it was revealed to viewers that Judy was mother of Faithful Roxy – before this season than also dropped its own relationship bombshell with Ellie the secret girlfriend of the now-banished Ross.

When some questioned how anyone could know, @supertv247 pointed out that the guestlist for the whole season of Uncloaked has been published, as well as host Ed Gamble announcing the contributors for the next episode as part of his wrap-up.

‘It dawned on me last night after THAT cliffhanger when Ed said who’s on next time I just thought awwwww… It’s Fiona,’ they added, having ‘immediately made the Welsh connection’ when Charlotte Berman’s name was announced.

She famously played on series three and opted to adopted a fake Welsh accent to make herself appear more ‘friendly’.

‘Plus, the guests are right there in every episode description, and originally I looked so I’d know if I wanted to watch or not!’ the fan pointed out.

Other viewers agreed that they had also made the same realisation, calling the connection ‘not subtle’, even if it sometimes only spoils the method of an exit over the actual identity of who leaves the main show.

‘Yes. I spotted this. It’s giving the game away. They need to keep the identity of the Uncloaked guests a secret until broadcast,’ suggested Matthew, while several others admitted they wished they ‘hadn’t read this’.
