From the likes of Grey’s Anatomy to Scrubs and the recent success of The Pitt, it’s fair to say that there is no shortage of medical dramas on TV.
The genre has been a staple since the early days of television, consistently attracting large and devoted audiences.
So, when The Good Doctor recently aired on Netflix for the first time, it’s no wonder that the pair have proved to be a match made in heaven.
Starring Freddie Highmore, who found fame as a child actor in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, as Dr. Shaun Murphy, the seven-part series charts the journey of the surgeon who has autism and savant syndrome.
Using his extraordinary medical skills at St. Bonaventure Hospital, Dr. Murphy navigates social challenges and skepticism from colleagues, while saving lives.

The show has racked up a 76% rating on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, with fans reacting to the shocking twists on social media.
