Scary Movie star and bodybuilder Jayne Trcka has died at the age of 62, her son confirmed.
The star, who played played Miss Mann in the noughties spoof comedy, reportedly died several weeks ago now on December 12 in San Diego, US.
The San Diego medical examiner confirmed her death to TMZ, with Trcka’s cause of death said to be pending.
Jayne’s son also confirmed his mother’s death to the publication and said he had not been aware that she was suffering from any health issues in the lead-up to her death.
The publication has also reported that a friend of Trcka’s called her several times in the days before she was found, but got no answer on the phone.
Worried, her friend reportedly then went to visit Trcka to check on her and found the actor unresponsive, before calling the emergency services.
The San Diego medical examiner told The Sun: ‘There was trauma to the body, but we wouldn’t be able to indicate cause of death at this time.’
Trcka was a recognisable face in the heyday of 1980s bodybuilding, amid a boom in fitness.
Her first acting role was in the original Scary Movie film, in which she played Miss Mann across from the likes of Anna Faris and Carmen Electra.

In 2009, she played one of the officers who walked Lady Gaga into prison in the iconic music video for Telephone which was a collaboration with Beyonce.
Her bodybuilding led to several appearances in a number of fitness magazines, including Flex, MuscleMag International, and Women’s Physique World.
Trcka studied gymnastics before she began weight training and started to enter bodybuilding competitions in the 1980s.
Trcka won first place at the 1997 California State Championships at age 34, as well as a a top prize in the 1998 Junior Nationals.
She then launched her acting career in the first film of the hit Scary Movie series, mainly spoofing horror movies, in 2000. The film became an instant hit after parodying teen slashers including Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer.
Keenen Ivory Wayans directed the original, as well as 2001’s Scary Movie 2, while Shawn Wayans and Marlon Wayans wrote and starred in the first two movies.
