David Beckham has seemingly reached out and tried and make amends with son Brooklyn after a year of family ‘feuding’.
On New Year’s Ever, the legendary football star shared a carousel of photos to Instagram in which he reflected on the past 12 months.
He captioned the post: ‘I feel very lucky to have had the year I’ve had in 2025 full of moments that I will never forget from my 50th to my knighthood ( still pinching myself ) and then finishing with winning the MLS as an owner, I’m so grateful to my incredible wife, my amazing children, my friends and team I work with every single day nothing would have been possible without you all.
‘But as Sir Alex Ferguson would say “Onto the next”. Thank you for the incredible memories I will forever remember 2025.’
He then tagged his wife Victoria and added: ‘I love you and our kids.’
The series of photos showed snaps taken with his wife and their three youngest children, as well as with his parents, being knighted by King Charles, and at his birthday celebrations with various friends.
He also shared individual photos with each of his children – bar Brooklyn.
David, 50, and the former Spice Girl, 51, have been married since 1999 and share children Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 14.
However later on New Year’s Eve, David then shared a series of photos to his Instagram stories, including one with his eldest son.
Posting a photo with each of his four children when they were younger, he wrote: ‘I’m so grateful for my family. I love you all.
‘I’m so lucky to have my amazing family.’
Alongside the photo with Brooklyn, he wrote: ‘I love you all so much.’
He continued: ‘I’m a very lucky Daddy.’
Then sharing a photo with Victoria cuddling a baby Harper and flanked by their sons while all sitting on a couch, he added: ‘You are my life. I love you all, love Daddy. Onto 2026.’
The post, specifically the photo showing Brooklyn, was then re-shared by Victoria, who simply posted a love heart emoji beside it.
Brooklyn, who lives in LA and is eight hours behind his Cotswolds based parents, is yet to post anything related to the New Year.
Throughout the past year, the tight-knit family have come under the spotlight since reports first emerged of an ongoing ‘feud’ with their eldest son and his wife Nicola, 30.
Three years ago, it was rumoured that tension had emerged between Victoria and her daughter-in-law at her 2022 wedding to Brooklyn after the actress and socialite reportedly refused to wear one of the designer’s dresses.
Although they appeared to have moved past that and appeared at family and public events together, things took a turn earlier this year.
After the couple failed to show up to Sir David’s 50th birthday party in May, he then vowed to always ‘choose’ his wife.
The Beckham’s were then noticeably snubbed from their vow renewal ceremony during the summer, which was officiated by Nicola’s father Nelson. The move was said to be ‘the final kick in the teeth’ for David and Victoria.
A source told The Sun at the time: ‘Seeing Nelson having such a pivotal role at the ceremony was heartbreaking for David especially. Not one member of the 30-plus extended family knew about the wedding or were invited.’
They added: ‘It feels cruel and spiteful. This is no longer a game. It has gone beyond all that. This is a family who feel they have lost their precious boy – and see no way back.’
Earlier this month Cruz also revealed that Brooklyn had ‘blocked’ his parents and brothers on social media.
Soon after it was revealed Brooklyn had iced out his family on social media, a source told Metro: ‘Victoria liked an Instagram post on Brooklyn’s page just days before he blocked her and David. There was no intention behind it other than to show she’s thinking of him before Christmas. She had no idea it would lead to this fallout.
‘She can’t understand why Brooklyn would make the decision to block her, David, and his brothers. Cruz and Romeo are just as hurt by it and it feels like Brooklyn has truly cut them out of his life.’
Brooklyn now no longer follows any immediate family members, but does follow his grandparents, David’s mum and dad Ted and Sandra. He also follows his aunts, David’s sisters Lynne and Joanne.
From his mum’s side, Brooklyn follows his grandmother Jackie Adams, and Victoria’s sister Louise.
Just last week he also spent Christmas in the United States with his wife and her family, rather than returning home to the UK to see his relatives.
Despite the ongoing fallout, David and Victoria are hoping for the feud to be ‘resolved’.
‘They’d love to have him back in the picture but feel as if there are things to hash out in their relationship,’ a source told Metro last month.
‘They want to move forward as a family and could be open to hearing Brooklyn’s side of things.’
However, this came after another source said that Brooklyn and Nicola were unhappy with her facing a ‘public trashing’.
The source went on to say that it ‘seemed as if things were being said without any regard being paid to the impact on Brooklyn’, who is ‘loyal to his wife’.
They then went on to say that an ‘obvious first step’ to moving forward would be for David and Victoria to ‘offer a public apology’.
‘It cannot be a performative thing. There is no realistic chance of a reconciliation without that happening first,’ they added.
